INTRODUCTION TO CAVE DIVING

This course is for those who wish to go beyond the cavern zone. This course presents basic principles, skills, and techniques needed to make limited penetrations into underwater caves. The rules developed as result of accident analysis continues to form the basis for our training priorities, additional specialized equipment is required for this course. The Intro to Cave is not intended to present all possible situations encountered while cave diving. It will include an introduction to various types of guideline systems found within popular cave diving locations, various emergency skill drills, and an increased awareness of delicate nature of cave systems.

This level of training can be done with double tanks or single tank with H or Y valve.
This course takes at least 2 days with a minimum of 4 cave dives.

Prerequisites: Advanced open water (2 star diver) and Cavern certification from any recognized organization and at least 25 logged dives, fitness.
