CAVE EQUINORDERMS & CRUSTACEANS EXPEDITION

New species found in Cozumel cave systems. During 2006 a formal scientists expedition was organized from the university of Mexico City UNAM and Quintana Roo University (UQROO) Campus Cozumel, under the direction of Phd. Francisco Solis and Phd. Luis Mejía. Luis and Francisco are specialists in equinoderms and crustaceans. Yucatech Expeditions is proud of support these projects to have a better understanding of this unique fauna that Cozumel has in their caves, for better protection and conservation of them.
This is a very unique creature that only has been found in Cozumel, is almost for sure that this is a new species. Star found in cave system.
