GUIDE QUALIFICATIONS FOR CAVERN AND CAVE TOURS

Your guide must use full cave equipment configuration for air management in handling of potential emergencies.

Oxygen on site or underwater is required on every trip.

The guide should be certified as Cave Diver and Three Star Diver (Dive Master) and certified as official guide for the Mexican Department of Tourism (SECTUR). www.sectur.gob.mx.

Its your right and for your own safety to ask to see these documentas to your guide or dive shop.

The ratio for cavern guide and open water divers is 1:4 and for Cave guide dives is 1:3.
