THE HOGARTHIAN WAY

During our technical or cave diving programs we suggest to bring the following equipment. The Hogarthian equipment configuration class will explain the concept of this CLASSIC style and the proper way to rig cave diving equipment with a minimalist approach. Cave diving equipment configuration and accessories are the first step of a safe cave dive. As a caver diver or technical diver you must remember two important words for your equipment configuration.

1- Keep it Simple
2- Keep it Clean

During your equipment configuration class you will learn 10 other important aspects of hogarthian way of thinking.

1- Always breathe from the long hose and install a stainless steel bolt clip on the second stage.
2- Your long hose and BCD low pressure hose should be installed and routed on the right post. Long hose should be passing under your canister light and around your neck.
3- Your pressure gauge should be installed on the left waist D ring and installed on the left post with a second stage.
4- Your right hand should always be free. Your left hand should hold the Goodman handle head light. The canister installed on the right waist strap.
5- Your wrist slate on the left arm and your dive computer and bottom timer on the right hand.
6- Your Back up lights each on the left and right harness straps, and well secure with stainless steel bolt clips.
7- The stage or oxygen deco gases always on the left side for an easy deployment of your long hose.
8- Spools or reels on the left side of your waist D rings.
9- Markers on Bolt clip with a short surgical tubing,
10- All hoses should be routed looking down without interfering the access to knob valves.

This is the principle of Hogarthian equipment configuration, DIR is the same but with minor variants. In other words DIR is not something new as people think. Hogarthian is doing it right! much better and much longer time in the cave diving community, did you know that?
